iPad Collection is June 2nd

iPad Collection - June 2, 2016
iPad collection for all 3rd-5th-grade students will be held on Thursday, June 2nd in The Commons. Please ask students to place their charging cords and plugs in a Ziplock bag, labeled with their name.

Triplicate Sheets
Teachers have received triplicate sheets for use as a receipt by the tech dept. To speed up the drop-off process, we ask that students to fill out the basic info, such as name, school, etc, before dropping off the iPad. A sample will be sent along with your pile of triplicate forms.

Drop-Off Times
We ask that students form two line when dropping off iPads. One line will be for students who have everything, in good condition. The other line will be for students who have missing or broken items. The equipment is listed below along with a schedule of the drop off times:

Note To Parents
Here is information I sent to classroom teachers last week to be included in parent communication...

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We will be collecting student iPads and peripherals on the morning of June 2nd. At that time, your child is expected to turn in the equipment listed below. If your child is missing equipment, you can pay the replacement fee online via our  webstore , or by check/cash in our office.

To speed up the collection process, we are asking each student to
  1. Place the charging cord and adapter in a ziplock bag that is labeled with your child's name.
  2. Remove the name label from the cover only. Labels on the iPads must remain in tact.
  3. Notify us if there is a crack in the screen, prior to turning it in.

Next Mystery Skype Planning Session

Many thanks to all students who completed the Mystery Skype Exit Ticket. The feedback you provided is very useful. Based on the results, it looks like we will be planning our next Mystery Skype session!

Setting Up Our Space

It was interesting to learn that most students realized there were too many people standing at the podium, in front of the camera. Let's focus on setting up the Mystery Skype space to limit the number of students on camera at any one time. Please bring your ideas to our next meeting on Thursday to contribute to a Padlet.
